Between 1976 and 1978, Canterbury and Jazz legend Gary Windo recorded the Steam Radio Tapes at Pink Floyd’s Britannia Row studios with Nick Mason as producer and drummer (for selected tracks).

The album features a phenomenal line-up of players including Robert Wyatt, Steve Hillage, Hugh Hopper, and Bill MacCormick.

Mason remembers: “Britannia Row had just been completed and we were able to do the recordings as test sessions to check out all the systems.”
