Steve became a huge XTC fan in the 1980s and in 2004, he took Andy’s dream job of being the guitarist in the New York Dolls. When the two finally met, much to Steve’s surprise, Andy became a fan of Conte’s music and accepted an invitation to write a song together. They got on so well that one song turned into half of the album!"
