To celebrate Itchycoo Park's 50th Anniversary, a Charly Records - in conjunction with BMG - 10-inch picture disc edition of the classic song.

Unlike much music associated with the Summer Of Love, the Small Faces’ most famous song was actually recorded during July 1967 at the legendary Olympic Studios in London (and released on Andrew Loog Oldham’s independent Immediate record label a month later).

Produced by Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane, the song was engineered by Glyn Johns with George Chkiantz and featured the latter’s revolutionary phasing effect which was heard for the first time anywhere on the song.

Supervised by surviving Small Faces member Kenney Jones, this limited edition picture disc features the remastered original mono mix plus the 1967 stereo remix by Eddie Kramer (with a longer fade out and additional vocals). The picture disc images feature outtakes from Gered Mankowitz’s original photo session to promote Itchycoo Park, while the colour insert reproduces the Olympic Studios master tape box.

An RSD 2017 release.

“The Small Faces were my favourite band of all time.... A complete delight.” Pete Townshend

Please note: Picture discs are handmade & not audiophile pressings. This process of manufacture makes them, inevitably, more susceptible to crackles, pops & occasional warping. But they do look great!
