Bill Nelson’s Orchestra Futura - Live at Nelsonica and Clothworkers Hall is the first ever released recording of this unique group (which performed at various ‘Nelsonica’ conventions between 2006 and 2012 and a few other select performances).

 

Comprising Bill Nelson (guitar), Theo Travis (saxes and flutes) and Dave Sturt (bass and electronics), the music consists of a collection of atmospheric improvisations, hypnotic looped alto flutes, fretless bass grooves, and experimental electronic music (all topped with Bill Nelson’s extraordinary guitar playing).
