Robert Forsyth Derek Holt Climax Blues Band Book
Climax Blues Band - An Illustrated History Volume Two: Shining On 1977-1982 tells the story of the Climax Blues Band following the success of the acclaimed 1976 album Gold Plated.

Though only covering a period of five years, the book chronicles an incredibly busy and productive time for the band during which, arguably, some of their finest work was produced for the Warner Bros. label.

It was a time of heavy touring in the US, where Climax played alongside the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, Heart, Bad Company, Peter Frampton, Aerosmith, and Cheap Trick as well as ‘up and comers’ such as The Cars and Dire Straits.

The band also spent an extended period of recording as the first band to use George Martin’s new (and not quite finished) AIR studios on the island of Montserrat.

Limited A4 format hardback book with laminate board cover.

192 pages featuring more than 500 rare and previously unpublished photographs, posters, stage passes and promotional ephemera
