A remastered 2CD Deluxe Edition of The Pentangle’s 1972 album Solomon’s Seal.
Compiled by Pentangle expert and Bert Jansch biographer Colin Harper with audio mastered by Eroc at The Ranch, the set includes notes from Pentangle reunion PR and acclaimed author Mick Houghton that draw on an interview with singer Jacqui McShee.
Solomon’s Seal was the last album released by The Pentangle before their 1973 split and features all five original members: Bert Jansch (vocals/guitar), Jacqui McShee (vocals), John Renbourn (vocals/guitar), Danny Thompson (double bass) and Terry Cox (drums).
Extras include an exceptional complete BBC Sound Of The 70s session, live recordings from the Guildford and St. Albans concerts on Pentangle’s Autumn 1972 tour, and soundtrack recordings from Christian The Lion and the Shell Oil documentary On Any Day, the latter previously unreleased and long thought lost.
