Recorded in a residential studio in upstate New York, 2002’s brooding and ambitious Heathen was the first album David Bowie and Tony Visconti had worked on together in twenty-two years.

Guests on the album included Pete Townshend, David Torn, Tony Levin, Jordan Rudess, Dave Grohl and longtime collaborator Carlos Alomar.
