Signed Dave Stewart Barbara Gaskin The Big Idea CD

Originally released in 1990, Dave and Barbara's epic, densely-textured 'The Big Idea' is now available in a lavish new special edition. The remastered album ships in a full colour Digipak with a 20-page booklet featuring new artwork, archive photos and the continuing history of Stewart/Gaskin (started in the special edition of 'Broken Records - The Singles') told by the musicians. The inclusion of the previously unreleased bonus track 'Like The Ocean' brings the total running time to 69 minutes. Copies signed by Dave & Barbara are also available.

This album took nearly five years to record and marks Stewart/Gaskin's transition from radio-friendly pop singles to the album long form. The album contains a mixture of imaginative, heavily reworked covers (including an atmospheric version of The Blue Nile's 'Heatwave') and Dave Stewart originals; it concludes with the monumental 'New Jerusalem', featuring a 25-piece Welsh choir, the pipe organ of St. George's Church, Hanover Square and a thunderous, cross-rhythmic contribution from Porcupine Tree / King Crimson drummer Gavin Harrison.
