Steven Wilson reissues the highly rated Hand. Cannot. Erase. on CD via Transmission

Steven Wilson, four-time Grammy nominee, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and founder member of Porcupine Tree, released his critically acclaimed fourth solo album Hand. Cannot. Erase. in 2015. 

 

The album's commercial successes culminated in reaching #13 in the UK album charts, as well as #2 in the Netherlands, #3 in Germany, #4 in Finland, #10 in Poland, #11 in Norway and #12 in Austria. As well as a good reception from fans, Hand. Cannot. Erase. was well supported in the press, with the Financial Times (UK) calling the album "richly textured and forceful... and tender treatments of the theme of loss", Classic Rock (UK) claiming it to be "A tour de force of experimental music making... 8/10" and Metal Hammer (DE) described it as "another masterstroke... 6/7."

 

Recorded at London’s illustrious Air Studios, Steven reunited Guthrie Govan (guitar), Adam Holzman (keyboards), Theo Travis (flute / sax), Nick Beggs (bass / stick), and Marco Minneman (drums).

 

This mid-price CD editon of H.C.E. will be presented in a digipack sleeve with an 8-page booklet featuring artwork by long time Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson artist and designer Carl Glover (in conjunction with images from Hajo Mueller and Lasse Hoile).

Now, what’s really interesting about this story is that your initial reaction when you hear a story like that is, ‘Ah, little old bag lady that no one notices, no one cares about.’ She wasn’t like that.
