7" single of The Sound Of Silence by Rupert and David.

 

In the early sixties, Rupert (Hine) and David (MacIver-Robinson) used to perform in pubs and clubs where the then relatively unknown Paul Simon would also play. Both versions of The Sound Of Silence were released in England at the same time.

 

1965 Decca Records 7" vinyl in single sleeve. Push-out centre. Produced by Dic Rowe and arranged by Mike Leander.

 

These copies - from Rupert Hine’s personal collection - come with an exclusive note. Profits go to the Songwriting Charity (of which Rupert was a patron).
