On The Archaeoptimist - Spock’s Beard's debut for Madfish - Ryo Okumoto teams up with co-writer Michael Whiteman (I Am the Manic Whale) and longstanding band members Alan Morse and Ted Leonard, to shape an album that is at the same time fresh and undeniably Spock’s Beard.
The album was produced by Ryo Okumoto and recorded at each band member’s respective home studios. Rich Mouser (Dream Theater/Weezer) takes up the mixing and mastering duties.
“Mad time signatures, impossible harmonies, intense arrangements…sensational” - The Prog Report
“A true heir of Yes, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd and old Genesis…a truly fascinating voyage.” - Metal Temple
