Gentle Giant Acquiring The Taste vinyl
Acquiring The Taste, Gentle Giant's second album from 1971, featured a winning combination of complex compositions, haunting melodies and inventive production (courtesy of Tony Visconti).

180g black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with the original artwork including all lyrics.

50th anniversary reissue.

This 2020 edition is remastered from the original mixes. As Ray Shulman has said:

"The tapes used were the original quarter inch masters from the Phonogram/Universal archive.
They were digitised at 24bit/192khz from a Studer A80 Mkii Tape Machine.
Tape machine line up and bias settings are critical in faithfully reproducing the masters, so we thought it best to send digital files, that we knew were correctly transferred, to the cutting room.
That way we didn't have to rely on unknown inferior tape machines."

To be clear, these 2020 releases do not use any of the later Steven Wilson mixes and Steven did not remaster any of them.
