Flashback Caruso - a seven-piece Norwegian collective of psychedelic adventurers, fronted by Anders Bjermeland of Mollmaskin - return with its first ever full band release.
The legendary Trondheim-based band have released three albums to date solely featuring multi-instrumentalist Anders Bjermeland handling the instrumental parts.
The Flashback Caruso Memorial Barbecue was recorded live to sixteen-track tape and features the band's astonishing seven piece live incarnation at its most unfettered.
Across 50 minutes, the album showcases all of the band's many facets, from the sunshine pop of Going Home, to the gorgeous melancholy of Levitation Song, to the hard-edged Raggazza Italiano, to the Prog influenced Aqualung Boy.
CD in gatefold mini-lp style sleeve.
'A dizzying and somewhat unreal intersection between the safe and beautiful on one side, and the somewhat incomprehensible, wondrous and unsettling on the other. Campfire warmth organic soundscape in a mix of freak-folk and psychedelia.' - Adressa
'Playful and hypnotising rhythms, with vulnerable vocal harmonies, wrapped in a 60-70s-inspired prog-rock suit. This is a band you should hear.' - Kakao Musikk
