Storm Corrosion was the long-discussed and highly anticipated 2012 collaboration between Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) and Steven Wilson. 

 

A spiritual successor to both Heritage and Grace For Drowning, Storm Corrosion took an idiosyncratic musical path that operated in Wyrd Folk and ambitious singer-songwriter territories.

 

The duo's debut surprised as much as it did confirm Wilson's and Akerfeldt's pre-eminence in the field of contemporary Progressive music.
