DVD of King Crimson in the 1980s showcasing one of the defining live acts of the period.
Much anticipated by the band's loyal fanbase, the DVD comprises two concerts featuring material from the Discipline, Beat & Three of a Perfect Pair albums. The 1982 concert was filmed in France on a tour with Roxy Music, while the 1984 performance comes from the final Japanese tour with the 80s lineup.
The visual material has been digitally transferred from the original film masters & the audio has been remastered for enhanced surround. DVD extras feature a tour photo diary by Tony Levin, a band discography & the promo video for the single Sleepless.
The release will be marketed & promoted in conjunction with the 4CD boxed set: 'The 21st Century Guide to King Crimson (1969-1974)' - also set for an October release.
As the releases form a comprehensive overview of two major periods of King Crimson's long & distinguished career, reviews & articles are being sought in the main music monthlies (Mojo, Uncut) & national broadsheet newspapers.
"Records and live performance are two worlds. One is a love letter, the other a hot date. Crimson was always the band for a hot date." - Robert Fripp
