Johnny Cash's distinguished recording career began back in the mid-Fifties with the truly seminal recordings he made for Sam Phillip's legendary Sun label. One of the first country figures to make the pop charts, he established himself as one of the biggest recording stars of the Fifties and Sixties.

Here, presented together on a single cd for the first time, 'With His Hot And Blue Guitar' and 'Sings The Songs That Made Him Famous' are the first two Johnny Cash albums which Sun released, in 1957 and 1958 respectively.

Cash's debut album, 'With His Hot And Blue Guitar' was a roots-inspired collection of memorable traditional, spiritual, prison and rockabilly songs, whilst the aptly-titled 'Sings The Songs That Made Him Famous' featured his later more polished Sun recordings.

Includes the four hit Sun singles 'I Walk The Line', 'Cry, Cry, Cry', 'Folsom Prison Blues' and 'Home Of The Blues', all of which feature in 'Walk The Line'.
