As a producer, Lowe has 8 top 20 albums (including 3 No 1's) to his name, and a Grammy nomination for his work on Herbie Hancock's 2011 album The Imagine Project. 

 

As a musician, Lowe currently plays bass for Glen Matlock & The Philistines, and has contributed guitar and keyboards to artists as diverse as The Charlatans, Randy Crawford and Taylor Swift (all a world away from the sound of Atlantic Machine). Lowe also co-wrote the Stereophonic's acclaimed Violins And Tambourines. 

 

Atlantic Machine the album contains a mix of dark electronica/atmospherics, guitar led rock that reflects Lowe's long-time working relationship with The Stereophonics as well as his early love of the darker side of bands such as Japan, Gary Numan and The Police.

 

Lowe has written, performed and produced the album with live drums on selected tracks. David Donley, Evan Jenkins and Canadian singer Megan Schroder provide additional parts.
