A highly unusual project, these were the songs that Kevin Hewick wrote for a sadly short lived musical by Leicester's Hathi theatre group that parodied then current phenomenons such as The X Factor, Fame Academy, High School Musical, Glee and School Of Rock, written by Eastenders/Emmerdale scriptwriter Jez Simons and directed by Rakhee Thakrar (Eastenders/Sex Education) and featuring the mythical bands Recycled Sweat and Trupac And The Thupelos.
As well as the songs sung by Kevin and cast members there is a ‘Hairbrush Karaoke’ where you can become a rockstar yourself!
Recorded by Alan Jenkins at Cordelia Studios the ‘band’ was Kevin on guitars, bass and vocals and Mark Haynes on the drums and also featuring the voices of Vikash Patel, Claire Ramsden and Bethan Dove.
