Polarchoral is the 5th solo album by British art rock artist Grice.
Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist GRICE has crafted a set of highly polished sonic gems. The album combines sophisticated art rock songs with a twist of expansive and experimental polyrhythms and arrangements.
‘Hypnotizing and spiritually medicating - this may both bruise and soothe the aching heart.’ - Prog Rogue
The album sees contributions from Porcupine Tree's Richard Barbieri and fellow former Japan member Steve Jansen, violinist Steve Bingham (No-Man), the late percussionist Hossam Ramzy (Peter Gabriel, Led Zeppelin), Suzanne Barbieri (vocals), Duncan Chave (electronics), legendary pedal steel guitarist B J Cole, award winning drummer Robert Brian (Goldfrapp, Peter Gabriel, Siouxsie Sioux), the technical virtuosity of Al Swainger (bass) and Italian freeform trumpet player Luca Calabrese.
“Creating this album has been a process of looking inward through the microscope, as much as looking outward and upwards through the telescope into the universal." - Grice
"An album of exquisite beauty by an artist of rare refinement" PROG magazine
