Sourdeline Friends Sourdeline cd
Due to overwhelming demand, an extremely limited second edition of Souderline's first album since 1978.

An extremely limited edition of Souderline's unexpected and delightful 2014 return. Sourdeline's previous two albums, La Reine Blanche (1976) and Jeanne D'Ayme (1978), were released in France only and have become treasured collector's items.

Sourdeline & Friends contains eight tracks which finds the band in a gentle acoustic mode. The band's sound possesses elements of traditional French and Renaissance-era music, and utilises J.P's mandoloncello, psaletery and delicate guitar playing together with the haunting voice of Catherine Burban.

Available in an edition of 100 copies, this time the cds are not hand-numbered and the covers are printed on 160g ivory paper.

The insert features sleeve notes by the editor of French Folk magazine L'escargot Folk and producer of the band's debut album, Nicolas Cayla. The artwork is by Dorian Danielsen.

"Elements of the works of Lisa Gerrard and Katherine Blake come to mind, but this is very much Sourdeline's own unique kingdom." - The Active Listener
